PASTOR PETER D. NUNN was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in January 1972. In March of that same year, he was united in Holy matrimony to Pastor V. Frances Nunn. God has blessed them to enjoy over 50 wonderful years of marriage! Together they have four children and seven grandchildren.
In 1984, Pastor Nunn accepted Jesus as Lord of his life at Crenshaw Christian Centre in Inglewood, CA, under the pastorate of Dr. Frederick Price. He received instructions in the fundamentals of Christianity at this fellowship. The Lord sent him and his family to the Netherlands through the military as he began to grow. It was there that God began to mold and shape him under the pastoral guidance of Rev. L. Carson from Emmanuel Baptist Church. While there, they faithfully taught the New Christians class for three years. Pastor Nunn also worked with the Teen Ministry and as an usher.
The Lord then led them to enter fellowship under the leadership of Pastors Alfred Sizemore and Merle Brown, respectively, at the Christian Servicemen Centre. While at this ministry, Pastor Nunn labored wherever needed, Choir Director, Praise & Worship Leader, Deacon, and eventually Head Deacon. During this time, the Lord called Pastor Peter Nunn to teach and preach the Gospel.
Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Pastors Nunn became the founders and pastors of the “Heerlerheide Community Gospel Church” in January 1993, renamed “Christian Power House of Prayer” in March 1998. In 1996, Pastor Peter Nunn was licensed and ordained by the Late Apostle Nate Holcomb and Pastor Valerie Holcomb. Pastor Nunn became part of the Covenant Connection International (CCI) under the guidance of Apostle Nate Holcomb. Apostle Nate Holcomb had been his spiritual father, mentor, and friend, teaching and mentoring him to serve God’s people with an excellent spirit. God has established this church as a spiritual “Basic Training Camp.” Through the teachings, guidance and mentorship of Pastors Nunn, many have departed from this church as deacons, teachers and laborers in the ministry of helps. Pastor Nunn received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies and Theology from the Minnesota Graduate School of Theology.
Pastors Nunn are currently the pastors of two churches in the Netherlands where the uncompromised Word of God is being thought; the “Christian Power House of Prayer” and “Volkel Gospel Community Church,” with only the Christian Power House of Prayer remaining. Through the steadfast guidance of Pastors Nunn, these churches are helping to achieve the vision for “Reaching all the world with the Gospel through our prayers and support.”
